Our Story
Thank you very much for your interest in Green Home Solutions of Northeast Ohio! As a family-owned small business, let us share why the husband-and-wife team of Mike and Carly Mitchell joined forces to help improve indoor air quality.
In 2010-2011, Carly reached the pinnacle of her banking career, assisting clients in the purchase and refinancing of their homes. Unfortunately, with this career high came a personal low: the loss of her father to cancer. It was during this period that she began to comprehend how elements in our environment can influence our health. Just as sugar fuels cancer, indoor air quality issues contaminate our air, potentially undermining our capacity to heal and flourish.
Carly decided to embark on a career shift to enable this newlywed couple (since September 2011) to achieve a work/life balance and start a family. It was imperative that the business they selected offered a service that was beneficial for both people and the environment.
Enter Green Home Solutions
Introducing Green Home Solutions—an excellent opportunity that allowed Carly and Mike to leverage their hands-on technical skills and homeownership knowledge to address real issues through the use of safe solutions, when used as directed. Over the past 10 years, they have been treating clients the way they would like to be treated, caring for homes as if they were their own, and providing peace of mind.
They are aware that their fathers are looking down on them, proud of the impact they are making. Their daily mission is to demonstrate to their daughter what a hardworking, balanced family looks like.
Mike and Carly Mitchell have proudly called Strongsville home for the past 12 years. When they are not addressing indoor air quality issues, they take pleasure in spending time with their daughter Grace, their dogs Khloe and Bruno, attending church, and serving the community through various philanthropic events.

“If I could give Green Home Solutions 5 million stars I would. Unfortunately Google only lets me give 5. Mike and Carly were so good to work with. If I ever had a question about anything Carly was always available to answer for me. When Mike began the mitigation process they constantly sent progress pictures to show what they were dealing with and what me and my family had been living with. When we left the house for the mitigation we forgot to move our Elf on the Shelf for our kids. I frantically contacted Carly and Mike and they moved the Elf for us! What kind of contractor does a thing like that for a family! So nice! When we returned to our 1960s built home it was like walking into a new build. All my wife kept saying “It smells like…..nothing and it is so good” since we had become so accustomed to the mildew smell coming from the basement. I couldn’t recommend them more to anyone that thinks they may have a mold problem in their house. Thank you Mike and Carly!”
